The Lil Kim Plastic Surgery Horror – Anti-Aging Gone Wrong…

lil-kim-plastic-surgery

Those can’t be the same person…

Can they?

Yup!

This is the story of the Lil Kim plastic surgery adventure horror.

The picture on the left was the OG Kim back in ’96.

When, I think, she was the most beautiful.

Move all the way forward to the picture on the right.

This is the NEW Kimmy on the block.

She unleashed her new look to the world at the Hot 97 Summer Jam in June of 2013.

Needless to say…

…it has got A LOT of attention.

Honestly, when I was checking out Google Images for pictures of Lil Kim, I thought Google was making a mistake.

Throwing up pictures of random women.

But then I thought….

…this is GOOGLE!

It don’t make mistakes.

They were all so unrecognizable.

How on earth could this be the same person?

…turns out Lil Kim loves her some plastic surgery.

Check out what TMZ has to say about her newest look.

Now, I would have to agree with TMZ here…

She TOTALLY looks like a different race.

I personally don’t think she looks good.

She definitely takes “plastic surgery gone wrong” to a whole. Notha. Level.

But she isn’t alone.

Over 15 million people every year get some form of plastic surgery.

Not all of those people are becoming Lil Kim Plastic Surgery Duplicates though…

I would say…

And I’m just spit balling here…

95% of people would think that Lil Kim’s look is a lil much.

So what type of surgery are people getting done?

Where are people getting the most plastic surgery?

The results might be shocking.

Check out these stats from 2011….

As time goes on.

These numbers increase.

What’s unique about this global trend is that almost 60% of all procedures done in each country was on skin and hair.

According the the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) the top 4 procedures in 2012 were Botox, Hyaluronic Acid Treatments, Microdermabrasion, and Chemical Peels

We’re too early in 2014 to know the deets for 2013.

You may be thinking, what exactly are those treatments?

Here’s a review of each of them, including pro’s, con’s, and how much they cost:

      • Botulinum Toxin Type A – 3,257,913 procedures in 2012 in the US

aka Botox, is made up of a bacteria that causes Botulism and blocks nerve activity.

Pro: Gives you the appearance of plumper, fuller, and younger skin by reducing the appearance of wrinkles.

Con: Negative side effects can take up to several weeks before they appear. These can be drooping eyelids, loss of bladder control, talking, breathing, swallowing….and so on.

Cost: based on a cost per unit can be as low as $10/unit to $15/unit and each face requires between 50-100 units (lasts 4 months).

      • Hyaluronic Acid – 1,423,705 procedures in the US in 2012

Typically used for joint disorders, but can be used to plump up lips.

Pro: Reduces the appearance of wrinkles and droopy lips. Is a substance that is found in almost every living thing.

Con: Some areas of the face require multiple injections in order to receive the desired result. Repetitive treatment is required in order to maintain the result.

Cost: Approximately, on average $600/treatment + fees (surgical facility, anesthesia, perscriptions, ect.)

      • Microdermabrasion – 498,821 procedures in the US in 2012

A super-duper intense exfoliating procedure (almost like sanding your skin) using crystals or diamonds to remove the dead layers of your skin.

Pro: It is less aggressive than the first two in terms of “no chemicals injected into your skin”

Con: Causes redness and irritation of the skin, as well as bruising. Your skin will become highly sensitive to sun and can become dry and flaky.

Cost: Every week for 4 weeks, then monthly for 12 months – on average approximately $100/session (total approximately $1,500).

      • Chemical Peel – 443,824 procedures in 2012 in the US

Uses Trichloroacetic Acid that “peels” or “burns” the first few layers of your skin to reduce acne, scars, uneven skintones, wrinkles, or damaged layers of skin.

Pro: Helps with a variety of ailments from acne to anti-aging. Results can be quite dramatic.

Con: The recovery time can be quite long and is not acceptable for many different types of skin. Causes discomfort, even up to several days after and your skin is left highly sensitive, in some cases can cause cysts that last several weeks. Your skin can loose its pigment (colouring) because of the chemical peel.

Why do people get these treatments?

Even though they are made up of toxins, chemicals, are super invasive, and cost an arm and a leg?

Especially when in some cases…

…it can make you look worse rather then better.

Because anti-aging is in demand.

Everyone has something inside them that they want to change.

For some, like in the case of Lil Kim, the only way is through plastic surgery.

Dr. Maxwell Maltz, a plastic surgeon at the Beth Isreal Hospital in New York, wrote one of my favorite books of all time.

Psycho-Cybernetics.

psycho-cybernetics

(If you haven’t read this book yet – you should! I highly recommend it!)

Dr. Maltz analyzed WHY people turn to plastic surgery and WHAT HAPPENS to their self-image afterwards.

What Dr. Maltz found…

One group gained heightened confidence.

“When you change a man’s face, you almost change a man’s person, his behaviour, and sometimes even his basic talents and abilities.” – Dr. Maxwell Maltz

Others did not…

…almost seeing no change at all.

Like in the case of Lil Kim (I’m assuming).

This group of people suffer from “Body Dysmorphia Disorder”.

They’re convinced they NEED more and more.

The result turns out similar to the Lil Kim Plastic Surgery horror.

But what about those of us who would just have more confidence with some anti-aging techniques?

Is the only option high priced toxin techniques?

Of course we’ve heard of the standard “natural” anti-aging techniques like….

…Sleep well

…Drink lots of water

…Exercise

…Healthy eating

…Antioxidants

But let’s be honest.

Not always the easiest thing to do.

Sometimes life or stress get’s in the way.

…or time.

Aging is inevitable, remember?

So what else?

The reality is…

You don’t have to have plastic surgery to experience the results of anti-aging.

There are products out there on the market that can offer results.

REAL results.

Without a knife.

Without chemicals.

Without toxins.

Without a blinding price tag.

Because of the advancements in science that have allowed these products to exist…

Anti-aging no longer has to be something you put yourself at major risk for.

Sometimes risks that are really irreparable….

….like the Lil Kim Plastic Surgery example.

I personally choose to avoid those risks by using these safe products that offer all the benefits of looking and feeling young without any of the dangers of going under the knife.
